Bournemouth is one of the prime locations in the UK to stay and enter a rugby festival. With our two-day festival held at Poole Rugby Club whom are celebrating their 50th Anniversary Year, you can expect a record number of entries. With the rugby grounds located just seven minutes from the holiday park, this really is the perfect venue for a fantastic festival. In addition, when staying in Bournemouth there is so much see and do including a visit to Bournemouth town centre with it's wonderful beach & pier, the upmarket areas of Sandbanks & Poole Harbour along with the New Forest.
The accommodation we provide is at Sandford Holiday Park, which is within easy access of both Bournemouth & Poole yet set in beautiful woodland. Whatever the weather, you're spoilt for choice with facilities including heated indoor & outdoor swimming pools, great bars and eateries. There’s always something to keep everyone in your group entertained, thanks to a range of excellent facilities.
When evening falls, head to the Limelite Club with live Showtime entertainment on offer every evening with bands, comedians, shows and the enthusiastic Parkdean Troupers. The resort has all the up to date attractions you would expect including:-

Games played: Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th April 2012
Age groups: Under 7 & 8 (7 a side), Under 9 & 10 (9 a side), Under 11 (12 a-side), Under 12 (13 a-side)
Under 13, 14's (15 a-side).
Our two-day tournament will take place at Poole Rugby Club who are celebrating their 50th Aniversary. The club has two full size rugby pitches and enough space for ten mini pitches. The club has a licenced club house with bar, kitchen serving hot food and changing rooms, plus in addition there will be a marquee. Poole Rugby Club is located just four miles from the holiday centre and is the perfect location for a rugby festival. Entries are expected from Wales, Ireland & England with teams playing up to eight games during the two-day festival plus a final.
First Aid: For your complete peace of mind, we provide a fully staffed First Aid Unit, qualified Paramedics and an Ambulance.
Referee: Each team is expected to provide a referee for the two day festival.
Important: The events mentioned on our website and inside our brochure are organised and staffed by Sports Tours Ltd. We do not enter your teams into festivals organised by local rugby clubs. Whilst your team is on tour, our staff members will be available to assist you throughout the weekend.
Friendly Match ArrangementsOur Bournemouth Rugby Festival takes place during the Easter school holidays. Also during the rugby season we can arrange friendly rugby matches whilst staying at Sandford Holiday Park. The games will take place at local club grounds nearby to Poole & Bournemouth.
AccommodationAt Sandford Holiday Park, we have a wide range of holiday home accommodation from standard to top of the range mobile homes as well as luxury lodges and a 7 bedroom house which accommodates up to 14 persons. All accommodation includes FREE Entertainment passes, Bed Linen, Gas & Electric.
Standard mobile homes are situated in convenient locations around the park, each come with a gas fire in the lounge, gas cooker with oven and grill, bathroom and shower, fridge, colour TV, free gas and electricity and bed linen.
Superior mobile homes, are once again situated in convenient locations around the park. These mobile homes come with all the above facilities plus DVD and radio, and most with microwave.
Premier mobile homes all contain a fridge /freezer, double glazing and central heating in addition to the above.
Lodges are set in the most picturesque locations around the park and come complete with spacious living area, en suite bathrooms, modern kitchens and verandas where you can sit outside and relax. Each Lodge has Central heating, Dining area, Dishwasher, Double glazing, Electric fire, Fridge freezer, Gas cooker, Grill, Microwave, Oven, Shower and TV.
Amber Wood House has seven bedrooms and sleeps 14 persons. The 7 bedroom house has 3 double (one en suite) and four twin rooms. The house facilities include, Gas fire, Beds made on arrival, 2 bath tubs, 2 showers, TV, DVD player, Radio, Dining area, Oven, Dishwasher, Gas cooker, Large fridge & freezer, Microwave, Grill, Washing machine, Tumble dryer, Private garden and a Private hot tub.
