The Lisbon Rugby Festival is quickly establishing itself as the best European rugby tournament for youth teams (clubs and schools). This event gives your team an unforgettable experience both on and off the pitch. Rugby matches against international opponents, exciting leisure time activities and great entertainment - all in one of Europe’s most exciting cities with its warm weather climate and white sandy beaches.

What makes this event unique, compared to existing rugby tournaments, is the excellent standard of the playing facilities and event organization, the entertainment involved, choice of accommodation type, high standard security as well as the special experiences the host city Lisbon offers.

The tournament venue is located in the beautiful area of the Jamor Valley with its excellent grass pitches including its emblematic and historic stadium. As in the previous editions we expect to have not only the participation from most of the clubs from Portugal but also from Spain, England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Italy, Holland, Germany, USA, Canada and several other countries.

Accommodation

All the rugby festival packages include accommodation based on a combination of holiday parks and youth hostel units. All these units have been carefully selected to offer all teams comfortable accommodation and easy access from the accommodation sites to the rugby festival playing venue. Teams interested to participate in the festival should check the information about each site and inform us during registration about their preferred accommodation venue. Each site has limited number of beds so reservations on each site will be conducted on a first come basis.

Schedule

13 April 2012
Arrival in Lisbon International Airport. After going through customs at the airport you will be met by your festival liaison. Your festival liaison will be with your group for the rest of the festival duration. A coach will pick up the team at the airport and transfer the team to their festival hotel. The remainder of the day will be at your groups own leisure.

14 April 2012
Tournament Day 1 - Matches will start early in the morning. A match schedule will be sent to the team manager before arrival. Shuttle buses will be arranged to take teams to and from the tournament venue.

15 April 2012
Tournament Day 1 - Matches will start early in the morning again. Finals will be played in the afternoon and after the last games, there is a trophies ceremony for all teams to attend which will be located near the festival venue. The party will include trophies an awards ceremony and live music. Food and drinks for all teams will be supplies for all the teams.
