About Skipsea (Driffield RUFC) Yorkshire Coast
Skipsea Sands, is situated on the Yorkshire Coast along miles upon miles of golden sand. Our Rugby festival is held at Driffield Rugby Club, which has a history of attracting up to sixteen teams per age group. This year will be no different, except this year we have incorporated a "fun day" into the equasion with Coaching Sessions and Rugby Olympics on Saturday with the Rugby Festival taking place on Sunday.
Saturday morning:
During the morning, we have a team of top class rugby coaches who will be putting your rugby players through their paces. For those who will be playing TAG we have a morning program designed to develop the Core Skills and build Confidence along with a few fun rugby games, which will be used to teach skills that form the foundation of playing rugby. We also have a ‘Contact’ focused camp that will keep each team motivated with quick sessions on Position Specific Coaching, Game Sense, Team Tactics along with age appropriate skills such as Rucking, Mauling, Line Outs, Uncontested and Contested Scrums will be covered in moduals.
Saturday Afternoon:
Our Rugby Olympics consist of diverse test of speed, skill and strength with a rugby connection. Competitors will be drawn from playing squads, coaches and parents with Mum's included! In addition, with rugby songs being a huge part of our tradition, we will be hosting a 'rugby song' competition - so start rehearsing now! The day is about having a competitive spirit and sense of humour, which is essential!!
Skipsea Sands Holiday Park is situated nearby the seaside resort of Bridlington. The holiday centre has something for everyone with indoor Waterworks Fun Pool with hydrodomes, sauna & steam room. Onsite activities include a large sports hall, ten pin bowling and an adventure playground. During the evening top-class entertainment will be provided to round off your evening. From quality cabaret and bands, to theme nights, thrilling game shows and competitions. Skipsea Sands has the right mix of entertainment for everyone whilst on tour.

Driffield Rugby Festival - Easter School Holidays
Games played on 15th April
Age groups: Under 7 & 8 (7 a-side), Under 9 & 10 (9 a-side)
Under 11 (12a-side), Under 12 (13 a-side),
Under 13, 14 (15 a-side)
With the Rugby Olympics taking place on Saturday 14th April, the Rugby Festival will take place on Sunday at Driffield Rugby Club, which is situated 12 miles from the holiday centre. The club has six 15 a side rugby pitches plus plenty of room for mini rugby pitches. There is a clubhouse, bar, changing rooms and food outlets. As with previous years, we expect 16 teams per age group playing in four leagues of four teams.

3rd Place in each League progress to the semi-final of - THE BOWL
4th Place in each League progress to the semi-final of - THE SHIELD
All losing semi-finalists play 3rd place play off in their respective competitions.
Referees: At all our events, we provide referees for all games so your club members can sit back, relax and enjoy the festival.
First Aid: For your complete peace of mind, we provide a fully staffed First Aid Unit, qualified Paramedics and an Ambulance.
Important: The events mentioned on our website and inside our brochure are organised and staffed by Sports Tours Ltd. We do not enter your teams into festivals organised by local rugby clubs. Whilst your team is on tour, our staff members will be available to assist you throughout the weekend.
Friendly Match ArrangementsWhen our tournament is not taking place, your rugby team can stay at Skipsea Sands and play rugby games against local teams. This can be arranged from September through to the Mayday Bank Holiday weekend.

These ‘top of the range’ mobile homes are extra spacious and include lounge area with TV, separate dining area, pen plan kitchenette with full size cooker, cutlery, fridge, microwave, utensils, one private bathroom, bedroom heating and free bed-linen.
