Our Bournemouth Rugby Festival is one of our most popular events and attracts teams from all areas of the United Kingdom. The resort of Bournemouth is renowned as a prime location and has previously been voted the UK's best coastal resort with seven miles of golden sands and a vibrant town.
With over 80 teams attending our Bournemouth Rugby festival, which now takes place at Swanage & Wareham RUFC you are assured of our great festival venue catering for teams aged under 7 to 13's. Accommodation will be provided at the fantastic Parkdean Sandford Holiday Park, which provides an excellent standard of accommodation with great facilities, entertainment and is only eight minutes from our rugby festival venue.
Parkdean, Sandford Holiday Park is set within beautiful woodland and is in easy reach of Bournemouth, Poole and Swanage & Wareham RUFC. You are spoilt for choice with facilities including a great bar and restaurant, heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, crazy golf, sports courts and amusement arcade. When night falls, head to the Limelight Club or Skylite Bar with live entertainment on offer each evening. There is always something to keep everyone entertained!
Bournemouth is a premier beach resort with seven miles of golden sand, Victorian architecture along with a traditional pier. There is an activity centre with an obstacle course, a climbing wall and a zip line, while the 2-mile long Bournemouth Gardens offer rock gardens, an aviary and plant species from three continents.
Superheroes - Fancy Dress Party!
This year's theme for our Bournemouth Rugby Festival is Superheroes! This is your chance to leave your daily life behind and become the superhero you have always wanted to be! So put on your suits, masks and capes and prepare to dance the night away. We will provide the music while your club members dress to impress and get involved with our band and DJ on Saturday night with some of your favourite hits from the 80s.

Our two day Bournemouth Rugby festival will take place at Swanage & Wareham Rugby Club. The club has a total of four full size plus midi and mini pitches along with a fully licensed clubhouse with bar, kitchen, BBQ and changing rooms with plenty of parking on site. Swanage & Wareham Rugby Club is located eight minutes away by car from the holiday park and is in the perfect location for a rugby festival.
Over the weekend your team will play up to 5 games a day staying within the the RFU rules and regulations on playing time.
All age groups will be played in accordance with the RFU Age Grade regulations.
Sports Tours continues to fully support the RFU in their efforts to promote participation and fair play through their core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
All participants along with the managers will receive one of our high quality participation awards. The winners and runners up in the U13 age group will also be presented with a trophy and medals. All the awards will be presented to you by our celebrity guest and in previous years we have had the likes of Jason Leonard, Louis Deacon, Charlie Sharples, Geordan Murphy, Lewis Moody and Mark Cuetoto name just a few.
Each player will get his or her photo taken with the special guest, as well as a team photo. These will be available to purchase after the presentation and also online after the event.
Parkdean, Sandford Holiday Park
Accommodation for our Bournemouth Rugby Fesytival is provided staying at Parkdean Sandford Holiday Park, which is within easy reach of both Bournemouth and Poole. The holiday park is set in beautiful woodland and has a good choice of leisure activities including heated indoor & outdoor swimming pools, entertainment, great bars and eateries. There’s always something to keep everyone in your team entertained, thanks to a range of excellent facilities.
When evening falls, head to the Limelite Club with live Showtime entertainment on offer every evening with bands, comedians, shows and the enthusiastic Parkdean Troupers. The resort has all the up to date attractions you would expect including, an all weather multi-sports court, heated indoor & outside swimming pool, fabulous nightly entertainment, bars, restaurant & takeaways, nature trails, cycle and go-kart hire, 13 hole Crazy Golf, onsite supermarket, ten-pin bowling, internet stations, snooker, pool and darts in the Skylite Bar. If it’s a quiet drink and something to eat you are looking for, just pop next door to the Clay Pipe pub.

Gold Holiday Homes – (Sleeps 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Persons)
Enjoy spacious and stylish deluxe accommodation with high specification fixtures & fittings. These holiday homes are extra wide with double glazing and central heating in all bedrooms along with bathroom and separate toilet. There is a large lounge area with flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player and a modern kitchen area. Six Berth Holiday Homes have two bedrooms and Eight Berth Holiday Homes have three bedrooms. Silver Holiday Homes – (Sleeps 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Persons)
Provide excellent quality accommodation with a lounge area with TV & gas fire, kitchenette with cookers, fridge, freezer and microwave along with a bathroom and separate toilet. Six berth Holiday have two bedrooms with a convertible sofa bed in the lounge and Eight Berth Holiday Homes having one additional bedroom. Bed linen included.
Bronze Holiday Homes – (Sleeps 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Persons)
All come complete with a lounge area with TV, gas fire, kitchenette with cooker, fridge & utensils, a bathroom with shower and toilet, free gas, electricity and bed linen. Six Berth holiday homes have two bedrooms and a convertible double sofa-bed in the lounge area. Eight berth holiday homes have one additional bedroom. Bed linen included.
Sandford Lodges – (Sleeps 4, 5, 6 Persons)
These 2 and 3 bed roomed lodges are set in the most picturesque locations around the park and come complete with spacious living area, en suite bathrooms, modern kitchens and verandas where you can sit outside and relax. Each Lodge has Central heating, Dining area, Dishwasher, Double glazing, Electric fire, Fridge freezer, Gas cooker, Grill, Microwave, Oven, Shower and TV. Bed Linen included.
Amberwood House – Has seven bedrooms and sleeps 14 persons. The 7-bedroom house has 3 double (one en suite) and four twin rooms. The house facilities include, Gas fire, Beds made on arrival, 2 bath tubs, 2 showers, TV, DVD player, Radio, Dining area, Oven, Dishwasher, Gas cooker, Large fridge & freezer, Microwave, Grill, Washing machine, Tumble dryer, Private garden and a Private hot tub. Half Board: During your stay, we can provide a daily cooked breakfast and two course evening meals for £14.95 per person per night.
Camping and Touring Pitches at Sandford Holiday Park
If your rugby club members would like to stay at Sandford Holiday Park and you have your own tent, caravan, motorhome, trailer or tourer, then we can arrange a pitch. Your members will be able to enjoy all the holiday parks facilities including showers, toilets along with entertainment passes for the weekend plus enter our rugby festival.
