The Southport Rugby Festival is played at the private grounds of Southport Rugby Club, which is just a five minute drive from the holiday centre. Over 80 teams enter each year and we have had teams from Portugal, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England. The club has four full size and ten mini-pitches, six changing rooms, large licensed clubhouse, beer bar and food stalls. Teams will play up to the maximum permitted minutes per day as stipulated by The RFU.

Games Played: Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd May
Arrive at your holiday park and check in from 4pm. In the evening there will be a managers meeting to receive final tour information and to ask any questions you may have.
The first round of games will commence. You will either play in the Morning session or the Afternoon session leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the holiday parks' facilities or visit the attractions on offer nearby.
The second round of matches are played along with the finals! After the games your presentation will take place where all players will receive participation awards and have the opportunity to meet and have a photo with our special rugby celebrity guest.
Time to pack up and check out of your accommodation. We wish you pleasant journeys home with some great memories, and remember to request our new brochure. Check out is at 10am.
Under 7 to Under 11
The Southport Rugby Festival is played according to RFU Age Grade regulations and we encourage teams to play with the RFU Core Values in mind. These include Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
Under 12 to Under 15
Competitive rugby will be played in group formats,with teams playing up to 5 games per day. There may be finals depending on scheduling, with the first and second placed teams receiving trophies and medals.
Mixed Rugby: Under 7s (4 a side), Under 8s (6 a side), Under 9s (7 a side), Under 10s (8 a side), Under 11s (9 a side)
Boys Rugby: Under 12s (12 a side), Under 13s (13 a side), Under 14s & 15s (15 a side)
Girls U13, U15, U18 & Ladies: There will be a one day girls and ladies rugby festival held on Monday 6th May 2019. Last year, 26 teams entered and more are expected this season.
Coach Service to Festival Grounds: There is very limited parking at Southport Rugby Club and we recommend teams take the coach service.

First Aid: For your complete peace of mind, we provide a fully staffed First Aid Unit and qualified Paramedics.
Referees: We have always provided referees for all games. However, if a referee is not available, then the home team on the tournament schedule should provide the referee.
