Great Football awaits at Great Yarmouth this May!
Experience our classic junior football tournament on the Norfolk coast in mid-May, where you’ll face off against teams from all over the UK in a family friendly tournament at both Hemsby Football Club’s and Flegg High Ormiston Academy. When not playing, kick back at cosy accommodation at Hemsby Beach Holiday Park or take to the beaches, arcades or any of the brilliant number of attractions in Great Yarmouth.

A Classic Football Tournament.
The Great Yarmouth Football Tournament runs over a weekend in mid-May, and you’ll play up to 7 football matches across Saturday and Sunday in what promises to be an unforgettable footballing weekender.

Under 9s to Under 10s | 7-a-side | Up to 90 mins per day |
Under 11s to Under 12s | 9-a-side | Up to 120 mins per day |
Under 13s to Under 14s | 11-a-side | Up to 150 mins per day |
Under 15s | 11-a-side | Up to 150 mins per day |
All tournaments are affiliated by the FA and played in line with FA Rules and Regulations.
Match durations will be maximised dependent on number of teams per age group, in line with FA ‘Daily Playing Time’ regulations above.
What to Expect
Day 1: Take advantage of your first day and explore Great Yarmouth.
Day 2: Time for your first morning or afternoon of matches! Enjoy the play areas at Hemsby Beach & head to the Family Entertainment Centre in the evening!
Day 3: Presentation will take place earlier on Sunday to allow teams to travel home (if they are not staying 3rd night)
Day 4: It’s home time, but not before a exploring the sights of Great Yarmouth.

Do you provide referees?
Of course – all our referees are qualified.

What I.D do we have to bring for the players?
We ask that you bring Club/League cards OR a photocopy of a passport for all players involved in the tournament. Age checks may be carried at any point during the tournament.

What footwear should players wear?
Pitches are played on either grass or the 3G all-weather pitch, so it is recommended to bring both studded and plastic/rubber moulded boots.

Can we access the site before check-in?
Of course – guests are welcome on the park before check in.

Is bed linen provided or do we have to bring our own?
Linen is provided but beds will not be made (a nice task for the kids!).

Can we bring dogs?
Whilst dogs are permitted in pet friendly units at Hemsby Beach Holiday Parks, unfortunately no dogs are allowed onsite at the tournament venue.
