Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the Great Yarmouth Football Tournament! Teams will compete at Hemsby FC and Flegg High Ormiston Academy, enjoying excellent facilities and a vibrant tournament atmosphere.

With a range of accommodation options available to suit different budgets and preferences, teams can make the most of their stay while enjoying everything the Great Yarmouth area has to offer.

Open to U8 – U15 teams from across the UK, the tournament provides a fantastic opportunity to test your skills, face new opposition, and create lasting memories both on and off the pitch.

Whether you’re aiming for silverware or simply enjoying the game with your teammates, this is grassroots football at its finest.

What to expect

4PM: Check in at your hotel accommodation, take time to settle in, and soak up the excitement! Families and teams will be mingling, sharing the buzz of the weekend ahead!

6PM: Enjoy a relaxed dinner at your accommodation or nearby (Great Yarmouth has plenty of great food spots), grab a drink, and rest up for the fun and festivities ahead!

8:30AM: Teams will arrive at the venue for registration and set up their team tents. Flags will be flying, chants will be cheered, and the atmosphere will come alive as teams gear up for an unforgettable day of competition.

Please note: Afternoon teams, there’s no need to rush, just make sure you’re registered at least half an hour before your games start!

9AM: The first matches will begin. Expect an electric kind of energy and fantastic football action! If you’re in the morning slot, you’ll hit the pitches between 9AM and 1:30PM (approx). Those of you in the afternoon slot, your time to shine will be from 1:30PM to 6PM (approx).

After your matches, take some time to relax at the venue, grab a drink, or head back to your accommodation. Or explore Great Yarmouth – there’s plenty of family-friendly attractions to choose from!

8:30AM: Teams arrive at the venue for registration and prepare for another day of thrilling competition!

9AM: The games will kick off once again! Same as yesterday – those with morning slots will hit the pitch between 9AM and 1PM (approx.), and those with afternoon slots will play between 1PM and 5PM (approx.). It’s crunch time as teams gear up for glory!

Evening: Once the games have finished, celebrate together at the awards ceremony, where medals and trophies will be handed out by a special guest. It’s a moment to cheer, snap some celebratory shots, and reflect on action that’s unfolded, all while surrounded by family and friends.

5PM onwards: for those guests who have only booked for 2-nights, it’s time to head home.

10AM: For those guests who have booked an extra (Sunday) night, it’s time to check out of your accommodation and head home.

All tournaments are affiliated by the FA and played in line with FA Rules and Regulations.

Match durations will be maximised dependent on number of teams per age group, in line with FA ‘Daily Playing Time’ regulations above.

We follow the rules and regulations set by the relevant governing bodies, including those for age groups, match duration, and the total match play time each day.

Yes! All players will receive a participation medal, and there will be winners and runners-up trophies in all competitive events. Every player’s effort will be recognised.
