Welcome to one of the largest and most-regarded rugby festivals in Europe!

Held in the stunning city of Lisbon – World’s Leading Destination 2019, Europe’s Leading Destination 2020 & 2022, and Europe’s Capital of Sports 2021 – this festival attracts teams from all over the world!

The venue? The magnificent University Stadium Complex of Lisbon, the esteemed home of the Portuguese National Rugby team! This top-tier facility boasts excellent pitches, outstanding amenities, and a prime location within the city! The festival is BIG on encouraging cultural exchange – coaches and players can enjoy the opportunity to share their passion for all things rugby!

Rugby Festival

The Portugal Youth Rugby now attracts over 100 international teams, with 3,000 players attending each year from as far away as New Zealand and Argentina. There’s a true focus on quality rugby while experiencing Portuguese hospitality in Lisbon, with stunning architecture and gorgeous sandy beaches.

There are two age groups for girls (U15 and U19), and four age groups for boys (U13, U15, U17 and U19).

The Portugal Youth Rugby Festival runs on two-year age bands to incorporate the differences in international age groups.

What to Expect

Day 1: Fly to any Portuguese airport and transfer to Lisbon. Check in to your accommodation and enjoy your evening.

Day 2: Your pool matches will take place today, and you will play 3 matches.

Day 3: The play off matches take place today, and you will play 2 or 3 matches depending if you reach the final or not. Once matches are complete, there is an awards ceremony and live music in the evening.

Day 4: Time to begin your return journey home.

The city of Lisbon is beyond vibrant! With its wide avenues, rolling hills, lush greenery and mosaic-tiled balconies, you’re set to discover a city brimming with character and charm! Lisbon has that perfect blend of timeless tradition and modern urban flair!

Ride the waves of the Atlantic with surfing, or with a need for speed, challenge your team to a go-karting race! With activities from bowling and paintball to the city’s Alfama quarter and Oceanarium, you won’t be short of excitement!
 
When you’re not exploring the city, you can try your hand at surfing, go-karting, bowling, paintball or simply enjoy the city itself and its Oceanarium, the Alfama Quarter or take a ride on the Colinas tram.
