Salou is a very popular destination with rugby teams because of the excellent beaches, cafes, bars and restaurants along with Port Aventura Theme Park. With intimate beaches which are sheltered by pine trees, the coastline of the Costa Daurada is varied and spectacular, having wide expanses of fine golden sand, beachfront hotels and first class residences.
This sample itinerary below shows what a 3 night tour could look like for your club:
Day 1: After flying to Barcelona, a coach will transport you to Salou. Once you have checked into your accommodation, feel free to explore the town and enjoy the many bars and restaurants.
Day 2: A free day for your team, we can arrange an excursion to a local water park or theme park, or you can visit Barcelona which is only an hour away. Alternatively feel free to enjoy the wonderful beaches.
Day 3: This morning you will be hosted by a local team for your friendly fixture and you will be met with a warm welcome.
Day 4: Time to return home. We hope you had an amazing time!
There are more than 30 rugby clubs playing rugby in Catalonia across five leagues from regional to European Challenge Cup level. At all age groups, clubs are very keen to play rugby against touring sides, which are quite strong aged from under 10 to 23 years. In addition, Vets and Women’s rugby tours can be arranged.
