Somerset Rugby Festival 2025
We are BACK for a Rugby Weekender in Somerset!
Returning for a bank holiday weekend, our exciting Brean Sands Rugby Festival and activity weekender is back!
Squads come together from all over the UK in junior boys, girls, and mixed matches on high quality pitches for the tournament. Your weekend will be filled with energy, enthusiasm, team spirit, team bonding and lots of fun!
When the tackling is over and your match has finished, head over to the water park and the Brean Theme Park with over 40 rides close to your chosen 4-star accommodation.

Girls, Boys & Mixed Teams.
Open to U7s to U11s mixed teams, U12s to U14s girls teams and U12 to U15 boys teams, the 1-day tournament will be played at a local rugby club.

All tournaments are played in line with RFU Age Grade Regulations.
Match durations will be maximised dependent on number of teams per age group, in line with the RFU ‘Daily Playing Time’ regulations above.
What to Expect
Day 1: Check in and enjoy a host of onsite activities or head down to the nearby beach.
Day 2: You can have a free day to enjoy Brean Theme Park, Splash Waterpark or other attractions, or we can arrange additional matches for your team.
Day 3: The 1-day rugby festival takes place today, with your team playing against other teams from across the UK, followed by a presentation ceremony.
Day 4: It’s home time today, but not before taking a last chance to explore Weston-super-Mare and Somerset further!
Celebrity guest
Jack Clement and Ellen Scantlebury made an appearance to present the awards for the 2024 Brean Sands Rugby Festival!
- Jack Clement- Professional rugby union player for Gloucester and won player of the match against Ireland in the 2021 Six Nations under 20’s Championship.
- Ellen Scantlebury- Loughborough Lightning Player and Captain for Loughborough University Rugby team in their first BUCS National Championships Final.

To avoid kit clashes, we strongly recommend you bring both your home & away kits.

Do we have to drive to the venue?
Yes, we do not have a coach service for this festival.

Can we access the site before check in?
Of course – guests are welcome on the park from 1pm.

Do we need to bring our own towels?
Yes please – towels are not supplied. Please also bring tea towels and washing up supplies.

What entertainment will there be in the evenings?
There will be a schedule of bingo, games, kids club and music cabaret. The detailed schedule will be confirmed upon arrival at reception.

What’s nearby?
The beach is over the road from the holiday park. Brean Sands itself is a 10-minute walk away with some shops, takeaways, amusements and a leisure park. Burnham-on-Sea is a 5-minute drive away.
